Classification and characteristics of different toilets

There are many types of toilets. In addition to the squatting toilets commonly used by the Chinese, the toilets are mostly divided into split toilets and one-piece toilets, while wall-mounted and integrated toilets may not be well known.

Toilet

According to the overall structure, it can be divided into the following types of toilets:

1. Split

The split toilet is a toilet in which the water tank and the base are separated. Because the water tank and the base are fired separately, the firing space is not wasted, and the molding rate can reach more than 90%, so the price is relatively low. At the same time, it occupies a large space and is not easy to lean against the wall. The gap between the water tank and the base will form a sanitary dead corner, which is difficult to manage, easy to accommodate stains and even mildew, which affects appearance and hygiene. Independent water tanks have higher requirements for water fittings. Poor quality of water fittings and aging of the sealing ring will cause water leakage at the water tank connection.

2. Siamese

The one-piece toilet is an improved product of the split toilet. The water tank and the base are integrally fired and cannot be separated separately. Due to the increased firing volume, the molding rate is low, which can only reach 60%-70%, so the price is higher than that of the split toilet.

One-piece toilets generally adopt siphonic launching, with low water level and low flushing noise. There is no gap between the water tank and the base, which is easy to clean. There are many styles to choose from, which can meet different decoration styles. It is the mainstream toilet type now.

3. Wall-mounted

Wall-hung toilets originated in European countries and are composed of concealed water tanks and toilets. In recent years, they have gradually become popular in China. A false wall must be built behind the wall-mounted toilet, and all the pipelines are sealed in the false wall, and the installation cost is relatively high. Space saving and easy cleaning are all its advantages. At the same time, with the barrier of the wall, the flushing noise will be significantly reduced.

4. Toilet without water tank

The tankless toilet is a new type of water-saving toilet that does not have a water tank and is directly flushed with city tap water. This kind of toilet makes full use of the water pressure of urban tap water and applies the principle of fluid mechanics to complete the flushing, which is more water-saving and has certain requirements for water pressure (most cities have no problem). Because there is no water tank, it saves space and avoids water pollution and backflow problems in the water tank, which is more hygienic and easy to clean.
